We will bring you 190 km inlands to a city called Caruaru. There you will find the largest handcraft market of the Americas, Feira da Sulanca. There are more than 10,000 little shops registered that sell handcrafts, clothes, hammocks, shoes, and a lot more. There you can buy clothes for R$1,00. Even if you´re not interested to buy anything, it is an interesting phenomenon.
After Caruaru we will continue to Nova Jerusalem, an open air theater
in the district of Fazenda Nova. Every year during Easter and Christmas, the theater is the setting for the spectacle "the passion of Christ", and is open for visiting the rest of the year. |
